i cross one foot on top of the other

i let the sun dry me up

i feel my heartbeat slower and my head tilt forward

i look to my right and see the man holding the electric fan

what i didn't know is that i would see that man seven more times that day

i let sweat gather on my lip 

and i wipe it each time right before it drips
